    Tioman Island Diving Center

At our Tioman Island Diving Centre, we have a massive range of top-quality equipment that you can use upon visiting some of the resort’s finest dive sites. What’s interesting about the Tioman diving is that it offers you a remarkable experience of witnessing thriving growth of beautiful corals. Marine life is also quite abundant, and there are plenty of turtles, large moral eels, barracudas, jacks and reef sharks you can find. Upon securing your diving license, you can begin exploring the sea life that the resort has to offer.

Aman Tioman Beach Resort: Things to do from Official Information

    Jungle Trekking

Explore and trek the lush rainforests of Tioman Island. Immerse yourself in nature and learn about the various flora and fauna of the island.

Engage with our island trekking tours and immerse yourself fully in nature. Our guides will provide guests with a safe trekking experience and ensure a pleasant journey in the forests. During the treks, guests can learn about the various flora and fauna native to the island. As Tioman Island is home to a wide variety of rare animals, it provides a chance for guests to see animals such as macaques and black giant squirrels. The silence of the forests along with chirps of birds and insects, will definitely leave our guests in a state of harmony and being at one with nature.

    Untouched Nature

Although Tioman is one of East Malaysia’s most commercially developed islands, some of its natural beauty still remains – many parts of the island are completely untouched by resorts, pollution and rubbish, and thus draw thousands upon thousands of tourists every week who are looking to experience Southeast Asia’s natural beauty.

Imagine walking through verdant green forests, with the chirping and hooting noises of animals all around you, the rich smell of flowers and loam, and the crunching of leaves underfoot. It is a truly ethereal experience, elevated by the knowledge that these are the good times – and a sight like this a precious thing not long for this world. If you want to experience something like this, then Aman Tioman Resort is right here waiting for your arrival.

    Forest Treks

Tioman Island has a number of forest treks that take you from one kampong to another. Navigation is easy – as long as you follow the power lines and make it out of the forest by dark, as there is little risk of getting lost. In recent years, all cases of missing tourists have been found and accounted for, and all were attributed to other reasons rather than misadventure. Since the year 2000, no one has ever become seriously lost in Tioman Island’s forests.

    Experienced Guides

Of course, you don’t have to go wandering off into jungle by yourself. Aman Tioman Resort can provide you forest guides well versed in the ways of the forest, who are intimately familiar with its flora, fauna, environments and its hazards. Many of our guides are local, and there can be no better person to guide you through this parlous landscape.

Dining at Aman Tioman Beach Resort

Get a taste of Malaysian cuisine at our very own kopitiam, where we serve only the finest local foods and drinks. Aman Tioman not only accommodation and its settings. Aman Tioman Beach Resort: More Activities

Fishing / Angling in Aman Tioman Beach Resort

Known famously by local and foreign anglers alike, Tioman Island boasts an abundant amount of trophy fish for anglers to take on. Examples include Sailfish, Black Marlin, Barracuda, Bonefish, Cobia, Dorado, Groupers, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel and more! Guests will be treated to a luxury experience as they will be fishing on a 32ft Boston Whaler fully loaded with modern electronics, necessary safety equipment, full bathroom and an air-conditioned cabin for rest when required.

    Unique and Exotic Fish Species

The waters around Tioman Island are perfect for recreational and sports fishing – as one of the last bastions of marine biodiversity in East Malaysia, Tioman Island is home to thousands of rare, beautiful and exotic fish species.

Many of these species have disappeared from the other parts of the world where they used to reside, and can now only be found on island reefs on the East Malaysian Coast such as the reefs around Tioman Island– so Tioman Island is perfect for sports fishing enthusiasts looking for that extra special fishing experience. Only in Tioman, can you find fish this special!

    100% Legal and Ethical

For those worried about the legality of fishing in Tioman, no worries! Although Tioman Island used to be designated as a protected area under Malaysian law, many such areas have since been un-gazetted by the Malaysian government in order to help local businesses, so most of the island is free game for all you sports fishing fans! There are many designated marine park zones, but they only extend up to a mile beyond the Tioman Island land area.

    A Beautiful Day

Time’s arrow never ceases, and all things must pass – but we all know that moments last forever. Just imagine the wonderful moments you can create if you go sports fishing near Tioman Island. There is a chance, that you will be the lucky one to catch the final specimen of a once great species. The day is bright and breezy, and the waves are calm.

You hold up a big beautiful fish – rare and exotic – and smile for the camera. The camera flashes, and you, along with the fish, are immortalized forever in that frozen moment of history. An island like Tioman Island, so rich in marine biodiversity, provides sports fishers a good chance of lasting fame in the annals of sports fishing history.

    Fish Species

Of course, rare fish aren’t the only kinds of fish you’ll find on Tioman Island. Sports fishers can also look forward to the more common varieties, such as Sailfish, Black Marlin, Barracuda, Bonefish, Cobia, Dorado, Groupers, Narrow-barred Spanish Mackerel and more! The Grouper in particular would be a sought-after catch – the relative rarity and price of Groupers have only gone up in recent years, as they have become less and less common in the South China Sea. You’re sure to be the envy of your peers if you happen to snag a good large one!

    Luxury

If you stay at Aman Tioman Resort, you won’t just have the opportunity to catch rare fish – you’ll also get to do all of your fishing in style and comfort. We’re equipped with state of the art, 300 to 350 horsepower fishing boats with electronic safety and navigation equipment as well as air conditioned cabins. When you fish with us, your comfort and safety are all but guaranteed.

    Round Island Snorkeling

Snorkeling in Tioman Island provides an exhilarating experience. Guests can get a glimpse of the colourful reefs and beautiful marine life around the island with ease. As guided tours are provided by our very own snorkeling guides, trained professionals will help provide guests a safe and meaningful experience.

For our round island snorkeling, guests will be guided to tour around 5 different side areas of Tioman Island. Guests will be given around 30 to 40 minutes to snorkel around an area before moving on to the next. Availability of the tours will depend on the weather and sea conditions of the various areas at the time, along with the availability of our boats. Guests are encouraged to book early to ensure a spot on the tours.

    Team Building

At Aman Tioman, we provide various team building programs for all. Through our programs, guests can work together with one another and learn more of each other. Guests can also develop leadership skills as well as teamwork among other guests. The programs provide guests with a fun environment to hone their problem-solving skills and improve their drive towards the vision and mission of your organisation. Certain programs may include jungle trekking, snorkeling and etc.

Our programs basically come in 3 Days 2 Nights packages. Guests will be provided with 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 2 dinners. Guests are also provided with welcome drinks before the start of the programs. Further information can be inquired, and personalized programs can be made for arrangements with the resort.
