This course equips divers with vital first aid and CPR skills. Knowing how to act in medical emergencies is invaluable both underwater and on land, making it a key complement to the Rescue Diver program.

    PADI Discover Scuba Diving

Short on time? The Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program offers a quick introduction to scuba. It’s not a certification, but it gives you a taste of the underwater world and may inspire you to pursue full training.

    Snorkeling in Tioman Island, Malaysia

Discover Swiss Cottage Snorkeling on Tioman Island, Malaysia. Get detailed information on renting snorkeling equipment, boat trip prices to Rengis Island, fishing trips, and island excursions.

Snorkeling in Tioman Island, Malaysia: Overview

Tioman Island is one of the best spots in Malaysia to snorkel and enjoy the beautiful marine life. The Island is habitat to large coral reefs that have given it a wide diversity in water life. Many tourists prefer to visit Tioman Island when it comes to water based activities because of cheap rates and the luxury of enjoying nature to its peak. Snorkeling in Tioman is also one of the recommended things to do in Tioman Island for tourists.

Why Snorkeling in Tioman is Preferred by Tourists?

The best thing about why snorkeling in Tioman Island is more preferred by tourists is that there are no restrictions and people who love the water can stay in there as long as they want. Pulau Tioman is a world known place for diving and snorkeling. You do not need heavy equipment or gear to snorkel and can easily stay put in the water as long as you want.

Due to a higher concentration of coral reefs mainly tourists and swimmers do not need to swim but the water currents carry them from one coral site to another so that gives everyone a chance to experience the water from up close and view all the marine life more closely. Most of the snorkel centers are sheltered from open water so it is great for kids and safe.

There is no danger of fast and high-water currents and gives everyone a unique chance to experience nature firsthand. You can take an hour-long trip to the nearest snorkeling sites which involves nearby examination of marine life or there are half day trips to corals located near the island which are more preferred by the tourists visiting the place.

    Tioman

If you are not planning a day short trip to Pulau Tioman, then one of the many things you can do here is to get a diving license which is cheaper in the region. With diving license in hand, you can enjoy free diving in multiple locations in the Island.

    History

The story of Grand Ion Delemen Hotel is intertwined with the development of Genting Highlands as Malaysia’s premier hilltop resort. Genting Highlands itself was envisioned in the 1960s by Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, who transformed the rugged mountain terrain into a thriving entertainment and leisure hub. As Resorts World Genting expanded with casinos, theme parks, and shopping complexes, the demand for upscale accommodations grew.

Grand Ion Delemen Hotel was established to meet this demand, offering a luxury eco-luxe boutique experience that emphasized both comfort and connection to nature. Its architecture reflects modern tropical design, with suites and balconies overlooking lush forests and misty valleys. Over the years, the hotel has become a favorite for honeymooners, families, and adventure seekers, blending highland tranquility with proximity to Genting’s vibrant attractions.

    Facilities and Activities

Grand Ion Delemen Hotel offers a diverse range of facilities that blend comfort with leisure. Guests can enjoy the indoor heated swimming pool, which provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, along with a dedicated children’s pool for family fun. The hotel also features a well‑equipped fitness center, a tranquil spa offering rejuvenating treatments, and multiple dining options including the signature Kembali Kitchen, Fairy Tales café, and Dakka Station poolside café. Business travelers benefit from meeting rooms and a business center, while concierge services and a convenience shop add to the overall guest experience.

    Outdoor Adventures and Rooftop Garden

While the hotel promotes outdoor activities such as nature walks and guided trekking, adrenaline‑based options like Flying Fox and rock climbing are typically offered through third‑party operators rather than permanent in‑house facilities. The highlight for many visitors is the rooftop garden lounge, which provides sweeping views of misty valleys and mountain peaks. This scenic area has become a favorite spot for photography and romantic evenings, adding a unique charm to the highland stay.

    Highlights
