    Dato’ Ahmad Fadzli bin Yaakob or better known as Fazley Yaakob or Fazley (born April 18, 1978) is a Malaysiansinger and actor. She started her career as a singer in 1995 at the age of 17. After furthering his studies at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, Australia and Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), he also served as a motivational expert and Executive Chef to SukaSucre Bistro and Rayz Bistro (Singapore).

    His most popular song was the composer Ajai’s song Asmara Ini in 2001. She is also active as an actor, host and also won the MasterChef Celebrity Malaysia in 2012. He then pursued his studies in culinary and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu (Malaysia and Paris). He now owns a restaurant called SukaSucre Bistro in Kuala Lumpur which serves Asian-Fusion food themed “From Rembau to Paris”.

    Life and career

    Born in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan on 18 April 1978, Fazley is the son of Putrade Malaysia[citation needed]datuk Yaakob Mohammad and Datin Umi Kalsom Abdol Latib and raised by his family in places such as Jakarta, Los Angeles and Kuala Lumpur. He attended Jakarta International School, Indonesia (kindergarten), Vermont Avenue School, Los Angeles, United States (primary school) before returning home and attended Primary School (SK) Jalan Peel, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur and St Johns Institution, Kuala Lumpur (secondary school). 

    While in St. Johns he was active in cultural activities and singing and was offered album recording by Musicland Entertainment at the age of 17. After appearing with his first album in 1995 which was not very well received, he furthered his studies at Taylor’s College Kuala Lumpur.

    After that, BMG Music offered a recording contract for the second album titled Impian Yang Nyata (1996). However, the album’s promotion was delayed because Fazley decided to pursue her degree at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and a master’s degree at the Australian Institute of Technology (IOTA), Australia. He returned home in 2000.

    His third album, Asmara Ini, was released by Warner Music in 2001. The album, published by prolific composer Ajai, successfully placed Fazley in line with other popular singers. In 2002, Fazley was nominated at Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian 2002 in the popular male singercategory. He was nominated again in that category in 2004 when he appeared with the album Cerita Asmara. She also joined the cast in Gerak Khas The Movie II (2002), Janji Diana (2003) and the lead role in Gila Bola (2003).

    She was a strong person in realizing Siti Nurhaliza In Concert Royal Albert Hall, London in 2005 as an executive producer. In 2005 he also appeared with a fifth album titled Lain. In 2006 he became one of the instructors at Akademi Fantasia Season 4 and after that started serious as a motivational expert when he obtained his doctoral degree at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). In 2006, Fazley married Azrene Soraya Abdul Aziz. They have three children.

    In 2012 she won the cooking reality program MasterChef Celebrity Malaysia. The win also qualified Fazley to win RM57,500 in cash which was channelled to Yayasan Jantung Malaysia which he represented in the reality TVprogramme.[3]

    Fazley and her family became one of five celebrity families involved in the reality show Oh My Family! which aired for 6 episodes starting on April 11, 2018 in Astro Ria,Ria HD and Astro Ceria.

    Early life

    Adam Liaw was born in Penang, Malaysia to a Malaysian Chinese father, Dr Siaw-Lin Liaw, and a Singaporean-born English mother, Dr Joyce Hill AM. He is the second of three children, with an older brother Aron, and younger sister Amber Dawn. The family moved to Adelaide when Adam Liaw was aged 3. After his parents divorced and his mother moved to New Zealand, Adam Liaw lived with his paternal grandmother Kwei-Eng Chew, whom he credits with a huge influence on his cooking and his life.

    Adam Liaw completed Year 11 at Prince Alfred College at age 14 and enrolled in university at 16. He graduated with a double degree in Science and Law from the University of Adelaide at 21.

    After graduation Adam Liaw was employed by Kelly & Co Lawyers in Adelaide where he worked in technology, commercial/corporate law, business advisory and international trade. He was also a committee member, legal adviser and secretary of the Hong Kong Australia Business Association, assisting South Australian companies to expand their business into Hong Kong and mainland China. In 2004, Liaw moved to Japan where he worked in media law for The Walt Disney Company.

    On 29 September 2009 Master Chef Adam Liaw announced via Twitter that he was considering auditioning for MasterChef. In April 2010 he was announced as one of the top 24 finalists in MasterChef Australia, Season 2. Despite winning a challenge cooking the dishes of celebrity chefs, Adam Liaw doubted he had sufficient technique to win the title.

    On 22 July 2010 Adam Liaw was the first challenger awarded a place in the grand finale.

    On Sunday, 25 July 2010 he was announced the winner of MasterChef Australia, Season 2, defeating Callum Hann 89–82 for the title. His victory is still the most watched non-sporting television event in Australian history.

    Aside from his winner’s book deal, Master Chef Adam Liaw is considering other business opportunities, including an izakaya restaurant with Tokyo-based Australian chef and friend Matthew Crabbe. On 17 September 2010 it was confirmed that Adam Liaw and Crabbe would be joined by a third business partner, Nathan Smith.

    As the winner of MasterChef Season 2, Master Chef Adam Liaw was given the opportunity to write his own cookbook. The book is called Two Asian Kitchens (ISBN 9781864711356), and was published by Random House Australia in April 2011. Split into two main sections – the Old Kitchen and the New Kitchen -Adam Liaw explores recipes that he has grown up with, along with new creations. The book has received positive reviews in the Australian media.

    Adam Liaw has since published more cookbooks, Asian After Work (2013), Adam’s Big Pot (2014), Asian Cookery School (2015) and The Zen Kitchen (2016). He also writes for Fairfax newspapers’ Good Food, Sunday Life magazine and The Guardian. He used to write for The Wall Street Journal’s Scene Asia.

    On 14 March 2012 it was announced that Master Chef Adam Liaw had landed his own travel/food TV show, Destination Flavour, which aired on the SBS network in late 2012.

    In August 2012 Destination Flavour premiered on SBS ONE. This series was also co-hosted by Renee Lim and Lily Serna. In September 2013, Destination Flavour: Japan had its official launch on SBS ONE with Adam as the sole host, followed by Destination Flavour: Down Under in September 2014. Destination Flavour: Scandinavia premiered on SBS Australia in 2016. “Destination Flavour: Singapore” premiered on SBS Australia in January 2017

    In March 2017 “Hidden Japan with Master Chef Adam Liaw” premiered on SBS Food Network.
