Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Malaysia from News Article

Laveda Charles is smitten by the beautifully scented lavender plants and various by-products. It’s a pleasant day and I am waiting to visit the Cameron Lavender Garden in Cameron Highlands. I have a special fondness for lavender not only because of its small purplish flowers but because it also rhymes with my name. I message my best friend about this garden, and she replies: “Wow, Laveda with the Lavenders”. I love how the two names sound and I am eager to take a selfie surrounded by these flowers.

It’s so cool that everything in Cameron Highlands is in close proximity wherever you are. Hotel De La Ferns, where I’m staying for instance, is just a 15-minute drive to Tringkap where the purple-themed Cameron Lavender is located. As it is low-peak season, there is ample parking. Don’t be deceived by its small outward appearance as there are quite a number of things you can do here. As you enter, you will be welcomed by a spread of these purple-scented blooms that originate from Hokkaido (Japan) and Taiwan.

Cameron Lavender, located in Tringkap is the newest addition to Cameron Highlands. Get mesmerized with the colourful sea of blooming flowers. Enjoy a cup of hot tea overlooking the stunning view of greeneries.

Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Entrance Fee: RM8 adult, RM5 children. Operating hours: 9am-6pm (Mon-Thurs) and 9am-7pm (Fri-Sun)

Varieties Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Malaysia

Other flowers planted in at Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Malaysia an escalating form include red begonia. I find dainty props where visitors can pose for photographs and on the left (which I totally missed), an ice-cream parlour selling both lavender and strawberry soft serves. Up the slope is another small garden filled with gerberas of different shades and colours. Here you can pick the flowers for RM2 per stalk, which is reasonably-priced.

There is even a strawberry farm, which only open during the weekends for visitors to pick the fruits. On weekdays, packs of strawberries are sold. On the same level, there are beautiful 3D mural art pieces which make you want to strike another pose. After picking some flowers, I head over to the cafe overlooking roads and mountains and order a pot of (what else) lavender tea and a piece of lavender cheese cake.

Descending a slope, I come across some souvenir shops. One, in particular, catches my eye. This purple-coloured shop sells only lavender-based products such as soaps, lotions, shampoos, oils, incense, among other things. There is even a shop that sells strawberry-based products and souvenirs. There are benches near the exit, where you can sit next to the lavender flowers while taking pictures of yourself.

Customer Reviews about Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Malaysia

Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Malaysia

Cameron Lavender is a show garden between Tringkap and Kuala Terla, about 4km north of Kea Farm in Brinchang. One of the more recent attractions in the highlands, the garden features a beautiful lavender field with an assorment of other continental flowers on display, fringed with colourful statues and objects inspired by European countryside scenery. You get to enjoy the scene of beautiful Hokkaido lavender and Mona Lavender farm in super small scale. A little similar to Lavender Cottage in Xinshe, Taiwan too, with plenty of room of improvement if we were to compare.

You can see Flowers Garden (self-pick flower is available) at Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Malaysia, Cafe, Souvenir Shop, Strawberry Farm and Shop (self-pick strawberry is available). LOVE corner for loving notes and locks Panda set up photo booth Lavender Castle.

Within the compound, there is a small market for souvenirs, merchandise and souvenirs, while the garden has its own product store and a cafe on a viewing deck at top floor, serving lavender-infused meals including cakes and drinks. Strawberry picking is also available. Open daily from 9am till 6pm, a small ticket fee is charged on visitors.

Details about Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Malaysia – one of the most talked about tourist attractions in Cameron Highlands. Pay for entrance ticket RM8 (price as per Feb 2017) and you get to enjoy the scene of beautiful Hokkaido lavender and Mona Lavender farm in super small scale. A little similar to Lavender Cottage in Xinshe, Taiwan too, with plenty of room of improvement if we were to compare.

How to go Cameron Lavender: It is along the main road from when you are coming up from Tanah Rata – Brinchang – Keafarm -Tringkap. When you see Butterfly Farm – Cameron Square Mall – Ee Fung Gu Bee Farm on your right, then Cress Water Farm, continue to drive for like 10 minutes. The big signage of Lavender Garden will be on your left. Hardly miss.

Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Malaysia started with lavender from Hokkaido Japan and then Mona Lavender. There’s some Taiwan lavender near to the slope path, but not blooming nicely, probably due to the season. Purple, red and yellow plants along the way can frame up to really beautiful pictures but sadly, they block the best photo spot with a “pay money we take photo for you” booth. Typical tourist place. There is a small path visitor can walk into. Just, we felt the corner is rather difficult to get desired angle.

Must do when in Lavender Park Cameron Highlands Malaysia – buy lavender ice cream and take photo with lavender flowers as background. RM6 for a cone. Strawberry flavour is available too. Walking up the slope, we were welcomed by a larger space with countless sunflowers. 3D mural art that adds fun to your Cameron Lavender Garden trip. There’s strawberry and vegetable farm further down but we didn’t pay a visit as it was raining heavily. There’s also a small cafe for drink and cakes, not impressive though.

Worth a visit? OK la. Afterall the entrance fee isn’t that expensive, can go in once but will not return. Pretty good for family activities when in Cameron Highlands.
