The second day of our visit to Tioman Island, we wanted to go for the Island round trip. The price is RM100/person and the Island Hopping Tioman takes the entire day.
Tioman Island is best known for its beaches therefore a round trip is a must if you want to enjoy Tioman Island to the fullest.
Tioman Island has four main villages, with Kampung Tekek being the largest and the main city, however for this trip we stayed in Kampung Salang, the other two being Kampung Juara and Kampung Batang.
Pulau Tioman is surrounded by numerous coral reefs, making it a popular scuba diving, snorkelling, and surfing spot.
In the 1970s, TIME Magazine selected Tioman as one of the world's most beautiful islands.
Tioman Island used to host both the British and Japanese navies during World War Two, as well as being the location where the South Pacific movie was filmed in 1958.
Although Tioman Island is part of Pahang State, it is geographically closer to Johor State.
Pulau Tioman is a duty-free island acclaimed as a geological wonder, ecological paradise and one of Southeast Asia's most beautiful travel destinations.
The tourist season peaks between May and August, when the weather generally displays the least rainfall.
The monsoon winds begin to blow from October, bringing heavy rain and strong waves until January.
We started from Kampung Saland (Salang Village), our first stop was Kampung Juara (Juara Village)
Juara for me is the best place in Tioman, it has a really long beach, nice hotels and has a direct paved way to Tekek. You can go from Juara to Tekek by bicycle or rent a scooter.
When we reached Juara it was heavily raining and since our next stop was supposed to be Asah Waterfall, the captain was a bit reluctant to send us there due to the waves.
We ultimately ended up going to Asah Waterfall and we enjoyed every bit of the natural beauty of Tioman Island.
We spent a lot of time in Asah Waterfall before leaving for Renggis Island. Renggis Island is a diving paradise that has a lot of sea creatures and coral to be enjoyed watching.
We had a great time at Renggis Island before going to Kampung Tekek (Tekek Village). Tekek is the main city in Tioman; here you have more shops, schools and people. The only duty free shop of Tioman is located in Tekek.
Since it was already noon, we had our lunch at Tekek, they have authentic Malaysian dishes which are really delicious.
We then continued our Tioma Island round trip and went to the Marine Park. From the Marine Park you can actually walk to ABC Village, which we did haha.
We finished off the Island Hopping by snorkelling at Shark Point and then went back to Salang.
