On 27 July 2016, Tunku Tun Aminah binti Sultan Ibrahim, the sister of Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, has been appointed as the President of Johor DT.
Besides focusing on the youth development and attracting youth into sporting activities and active lifestyle, she is also considering to establish a Johor DT women’s football team in the near future.

JOHOR BARU (1 Nov 2015) – Where others failed Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Takzim created Malaysian football in the Tajikistan capital city of Dushanbe – defeating Tajikistan club FC Istiklol in the AFC Cup final on Saturday.
The Johor outfit defeated Istiklol 1-0 in final which was watched by HRH Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar the ruler of Johor.

About Johor Southern Tigers Football Club - JDT Owner
Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club Kelab Bola Sepak Johor Darul Ta’zim), or simply JDT, is a football club based in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. The club was founded in 1972 (as PKENJ FC) and currently plays in the top division of Malaysian football, the Malaysia Super League.
JDT owner is Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim. In 2014, Johor Southern Tigers gained their first major honour by winning the national league during the first season under Croatian manager Bojan Hodak.
Under Argentine Mario Gómez’s tutelage, they won the 2015 AFC Cup and the 2015 Super League. By winning the AFC Cup, Johor Southern Tigers became the second Malaysian team since 1967 to enter a final of a major continental competition, and the first ever Malaysian club to win a continental title.
Johor Southern Tigers is the first team in the country to win six consecutive league titles (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019). Before this achievement, no team had ever won the league championship more than twice in a row since the league system was first introduced in Malaysia in 1979.

Stadium Sultan Ibrahim - JDT New Stadium
Six-time Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim has officially moved into their new home, the 35,000-seater Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
The stadium, which cost more than RM200mil to build, was officiated by Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar on Saturday (Feb 22) night.
Also present was Permaisuri of Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah.
Previously, the Southern Tigers played their home games at Larkin Stadium in Johor Baru and starting from this year, Johor DT would be playing their matches at the state-of-the-art brand new Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
Johor Southern Tigers owner Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim said that the club has grown by leaps and bounds and the launch of the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium marked yet another historic chapter for Johor Southern Tigers.
